Save the Date!

I’m so excited to share our Save the Dates with y’all today! Some of them are still in the mail, so don’t worry if you see this post before yours has arrived if you’re one of our beloved guests!

After looking at many, many options we ended up choosing this beautiful foil postcard from Minted and I am so thrilled with how they came out. Of course we used one of the amazing engagement photos that Birds of a Feather took for us. I love the way the bronze complements the brick wall and fall leaves in the photo we chose.

Since a lot of our college friends are still in the area, we decided to hand deliver those Save the Dates. While, yes, this is a money-saving tactic it has honestly been so much fun getting to meet up with my friends and see their reaction to our Save the Date in person!

It is so important to Timmy & I that we communicate to our guests the importance of the Sacrament and how excited we are to live out the Church’s teachings on our vocation. Towards that end, we decided to stray from tradition a little bit on our Save the Dates and include a little prayer on the back that we are asking our guests to say for us as we prepare for our wedding! The back of the postcard reads:

“We can’t wait to celebrate our entry into the Sacrament of Marriage with you! As we get closer to the big day we request that you save this date for our wedding.

We also ask that you keep us in your prayers as we continue to prepare for the Sacrament! ‘Father, in the great mystery of your love you have consecrated the bond of marriage as a symbol of Christ’s union with His Church. In this time of preparation, bless Brooke and Timothy with a deeper love for you and for each other. Mother Mary, through your Immaculate Heart, may they entrust themselves entirely to your Son. Amen.'”

I can’t believe that our wedding is less than 7 months away now! Keep checking the blog for more updates on our journey.
